Certificate of analysis
Every lot we release is accompanied by a certificate of analysis. It states what was tested, against which specification, and the result obtained for that lot — so the document can be filed alongside the material it describes.
What the certificate states
| Material | Product name, synonyms, IUPAC name, catalogue number, batch number, CAS number |
|---|---|
| Identity | Molecular formula and molecular weight, with identification results |
| Results | A test / specification / result table for that lot, including assay or purity |
| Handling | Long-term storage, shipping conditions and retest date |
| Release | Release date, so the document can be tied to a specific lot |
A specimen certificate is available so you can see the layout before ordering: sample certificate of analysis (PDF). It is a specimen, not a document for a lot you have received.
How to read one
If you need to check whether a certificate will satisfy your filing or your internal QC, the guide How to read a certificate of analysis walks through each field, what it does and does not tell you, and which questions to put to a supplier.
Request the certificate for your lot
Tell us the catalogue number and the batch number printed on the label, and we will send the certificate for that lot. If you do not have the batch number, the catalogue number alone is usually enough to find it.
We do not publish prices and we do not send a price list. Quotations are prepared per enquiry.
